Deep Hamburger Sausage Pie (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pie Crust

01 - 2 ready bake pie crusts

→ Filling

02 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
03 - 225 grams ground beef
04 - 225 grams Italian sausage
05 - 1 cup pepperoni slices
06 - 360 milliliters pizza sauce or marinara sauce
07 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or provolone cheese
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes

→ Topping

11 - 3 tablespoons melted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef with Italian sausage until fully browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
02 - Preheat oven to 220°C.
03 - Roll out one pie crust and fit onto a deep-dish pie pan or deep skillet.
04 - Distribute half of the shredded mozzarella on the bottom crust. Top evenly with the cooked beef, Italian sausage, and half the pepperoni slices.
05 - Pour pizza sauce or marinara evenly over the meat. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
06 - Cover with the remaining mozzarella and cheddar or provolone. Add remaining pepperoni slices over the top.
07 - Place the second crust over filling, sealing edges. Brush the top with melted butter.
08 - Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the crust turns golden brown and cheese bubbles.
09 - Let pie rest for several minutes before slicing and serving.

01 - For a spicier dish, increase red pepper flakes or use hot Italian sausage. Allowing the pie to rest before slicing helps maintain clean portions.
