Traditional Easter sweet cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 pounds cottage cheese
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 4 eggs
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13 × 9 inch baking pan.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with a hand mixer on medium-high speed until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Make sure all ingredients are well incorporated.
03 - Pour the mixture into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. You'll know it's done when the edges turn lightly brown and the center is nearly set but still has a slight jiggle.
04 - Allow the syrnyk to cool completely to room temperature. Then transfer it to the refrigerator and chill thoroughly before serving. This helps it set properly and enhances the flavor.
05 - Cut into squares and serve chilled as a side dish or light dessert for your Easter celebration.

# Notes:

01 - This is a traditional Ukrainian Easter dish that's been passed down through generations.
02 - Syrnyk falls somewhere between a cheesecake and a sweet cheese pudding in texture.
03 - It can be served as either a side dish alongside Easter ham or as a light dessert.
