Grease a 9-inch square pan with butter. Line the bottom of the pan with a layer of Mint Oreos. Chop the remaining Mint Oreos and set aside.

Prepare the brownie batter as per the package directions. Pour the batter evenly over the layer of Mint Oreos and bake until done. Check for doneness using a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Place the unwrapped Andes Mints on top of the baked brownie layer in an even layer. Return to the oven for 2 minutes to allow the mints to melt slightly. Remove from the oven and use a knife to spread the melted mints evenly across the surface.

Sprinkle the chopped Mint Oreos over the top. Allow the brownies to cool completely for about 1 hour.

Slice the brownies and serve, or store them in an airtight container for up to one week.
