Refreshing Fruity Brew (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Tea

01 - 1 cup water
02 - 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (chai patti) or 1 tea bag
03 - 10-12 mint leaves, plus extra for garnishing
04 - 2 teaspoons sugar

→ For Assembly

05 - 1 cup apple juice or apple-flavored soda
06 - 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
07 - Ice cubes, as required
08 - Apple slices and lemon wedges for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Add water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar to a medium-sized saucepan and heat it over medium-high heat.
02 - Once the water comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let the tea simmer for a minute.
03 - Remove the pan from heat and strain the tea using a tea strainer into a measuring cup or a pitcher. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
04 - Fill 2 tall glasses with ice till the top. Add 4-5 mint leaves to each glass.
05 - Pour ½ cup apple juice (or apple soda) and ½ cup brewed tea over the ice in each glass. Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice into each glass and give a quick stir. Garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - You can add honey to the tea instead of sugar. Add it once the tea is made and the pan is off the stove.
02 - Sugar-free substitutes like stevia or monk fruit work well in this recipe.
03 - You can make the black tea in advance and assemble the iced tea when ready to serve.
04 - For an adult version, add a splash of vodka, tequila, or white rum.
05 - Green tea or hibiscus tea can be used instead of black tea.
