Southern breakfast in pizza form (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Gravy

01 - 1 (16 ounce) package breakfast sausage
02 - ¼ cup all-purpose flour
03 - 2 cups milk
04 - Ground black pepper to taste

→ For the Pizza

05 - 1 (12 inch) pre-baked pizza crust
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed (Optional)
07 - 6 eggs
08 - ¼ cup milk
09 - 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or as desired
10 - Cooking spray

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir sausage until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Stir in flour until dissolved, then add 2 cups milk. Stir occasionally until gravy reaches desired consistency, about 10 minutes. Season with black pepper.
02 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or follow the temperature recommendations on your pizza crust package.
03 - Place pizza crust on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Spread half of the sausage gravy over the olive oil (reserve remaining gravy for another use).
04 - Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and warm over medium-high heat. Whisk eggs and ¼ cup milk together in a bowl. Pour into the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until eggs are fully set, about 5 minutes.
05 - Top the gravy-covered pizza crust with the scrambled eggs, then sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbling, 10 to 15 minutes.
07 - Remove from oven, slice, and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe makes enough sausage gravy for two pizzas - you can freeze the extra for later use.
02 - Follow the baking temperature and time recommendations on your specific pizza crust package for best results.
03 - The nutrition information includes the full amount of gravy, though only half is used in one pizza.
