Blackberry Sage Iced Tea (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 cups water
02 - 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
03 - 3 tbsp fresh sage leaves
04 - Juice of 1 lemon
05 - 3 tbsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
06 - Ice cubes

→ Optional Garnish

07 - Additional sage leaves
08 - Lemon slices

# Instructions:

01 - Bring the water to a simmer in a medium saucepan. Turn off the heat and steep the sage leaves for about 5 minutes to release their flavor.
02 - Add the blackberries to the sage-infused water. Return to a simmer, then remove from heat. Gently mash the blackberries to release their juices and flavor. Stir in the maple syrup, adjusting to your desired sweetness.
03 - Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract all the juices. Discard the solids.
04 - Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice for a refreshing citrusy kick.
05 - Refrigerate the tea until thoroughly chilled, at least 1-2 hours.
06 - Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Add a few blackberries to each glass if desired. Garnish with sage leaves or a slice of lemon for an elegant touch. Enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Perfect for cooling off on warm days.
02 - Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
