02 - 8 slices smoked ham
03 - 8 slices Swiss cheese (or cheese of choice)

→ Butter Spread

04 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
06 - 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
07 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
08 - Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

09 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Using a serrated knife, gently slice each croissant in half horizontally. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
03 - In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and thyme (if using) until well blended.
04 - Spread a tablespoon of the butter mixture on the inside of each croissant. Layer two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese in each croissant. Add a dash of freshly cracked black pepper to each sandwich.
05 - Close the croissant halves and spread any remaining butter mixture on the outside of each croissant.
06 - Arrange the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
07 - Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!
