Campfire Cheeseburger Hobo Packets (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 450 g ground beef, 80% lean
02 - 1 large egg, beaten
03 - 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
04 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Vegetables

05 - 4 small potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
06 - 450 g baby carrots

→ Seasoning and Assembly

07 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
08 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
09 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
10 - 4 slices cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Heat grill to 175°C.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef, beaten egg, seasoning salt, and garlic powder thoroughly. Divide mixture and form into four even patties. Set aside.
03 - In a separate bowl, toss sliced potatoes and baby carrots with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
04 - Lay out four sheets of aluminium foil, each approximately 30 x 45 cm. Lightly coat each with cooking spray. Evenly distribute the vegetable mixture in the centre of each sheet, then place a beef patty on top of the vegetables.
05 - Fold and securely seal the foil packets. Position packets beef side up on the grill rack. Cook for 35 to 45 minutes, or until carrots and potatoes are tender and the beef reaches an internal temperature of 71°C, flipping packets during the last 20 minutes for uniform cooking.
06 - Carefully open the top of each packet, exposing the beef patty. Place one slice of cheese over each patty. Close the grill cover and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

# Notes:

01 - Packets can also be cooked in an oven at 175°C on a baking tray for approximately 45 minutes, ensuring beef is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.
