# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups white granulated sugar.
02 - 3 cups water.
03 - 3 small oranges or tangelos.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat sugar and water in large skillet until boiling and sugar completely dissolves.
02 - Reduce heat to medium, add orange slices without overlapping.
03 - Cook gently for 44-60 minutes until pith becomes translucent, turning occasionally.
04 - Transfer slices to wire rack using tongs.
05 - Let dry at room temperature for 24-48 hours until set but slightly tacky.

# Notes:

01 - Keep at gentle simmer to avoid caramelization.
02 - Can roll in extra sugar after drying.
03 - Optional pinch of salt enhances flavor.
