Chewy Sugar Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature.
02 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed.
04 - 1/4 cup light corn syrup.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
07 - 1 teaspoon lemon extract.
08 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
10 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.
11 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
12 - Decorating sugar for coating.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
02 - Cream butter and sugars, then mix in corn syrup, egg, and extracts until well combined.
03 - Whisk flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in separate bowl.
04 - Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
05 - Scoop 1.5 tablespoon dough balls, roll in decorating sugar. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
06 - Bake 10 minutes until edges are slightly golden. Cool 5 minutes on pan before moving to rack.
