Sweet Cinnamon Donut Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread Base

01 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
03 - ½ cup buttermilk
04 - ¼ cup canola oil
05 - ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
06 - 2 large eggs
07 - 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
08 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
09 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Cinnamon Swirl

10 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
11 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
12 - ½ teaspoon molasses

→ Sugar Coating

13 - ½ cup unsalted butter
14 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
15 - ¼ cup brown sugar
16 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
02 - Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
03 - Beat canola oil, softened butter, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture in three parts, alternating with buttermilk. Begin and end with dry ingredients.
05 - Take ¾ cup of batter and mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, and molasses in a separate bowl.
06 - Pour half plain batter in pan, add half cinnamon mixture in dollops and swirl. Repeat with remaining batters.
07 - Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
08 - Melt butter in one dish. Mix sugars and cinnamon in another. Dip cooled bread in butter, then coat with sugar mixture.

# Notes:

01 - Can substitute buttermilk with milk and lemon juice
02 - Best served same day when coating is fresh
03 - Can be frozen without sugar coating
