Fried Bologna Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2–3 slices of bologna, thick cut if possible
02 - 2 slices of sandwich bread (white, brioche, or potato bread)
03 - 1 tablespoon butter or oil for frying
04 - 1 slice of American cheese or cheddar
05 - 1–2 teaspoons yellow mustard (optional)
06 - 1–2 pickle slices (optional)
07 - Fried egg, lettuce, and tomato (optional for variations)

# Instructions:

01 - Make small slits around the edges of each bologna slice to prevent curling while frying.
02 - Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bologna slices and cook until browned and crispy, flipping once (about 2–3 minutes per side).
03 - In the same skillet or a toaster, lightly toast the bread slices until golden.
04 - Place the fried bologna on one slice of bread. Top with cheese, mustard, and pickles if using. Add any extras like a fried egg or tomato if desired.
05 - Top with the second slice of bread, cut in half if you like, and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Deluxe it with a fried egg and hot sauce.
02 - Swap mustard for mayo or BBQ sauce for a different flavor.
03 - Try it on a toasted bun or English muffin for a twist.
