Frito Chili Cheese Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chili Cheese Dip Base

01 - 1 lb ground hamburger, cooked and drained
02 - 1 block cream cheese, softened
03 - 10 oz can diced tomatoes, drained well (e.g., Rotel)
04 - 15 oz can chili starter (e.g., Bush's Chili Magic)
05 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
06 - 1 tsp garlic powder
07 - 1 tsp chili powder
08 - 2 tsp brown sugar
09 - 1/2 tsp paprika
10 - 1/2 tsp cumin
11 - 1-2 tsp hot sauce (e.g., Louisiana)
12 - 1/2 medium white onion, diced

→ Toppings / Serving

13 - 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
14 - 5 strips bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
15 - 2 green onions, diced (green and white parts)
16 - Frito's Scoops for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, hamburger, and all remaining dip base ingredients. Mix well until smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference.
03 - Transfer the dip mixture into a greased or buttered oven-safe skillet (e.g., a 10-inch cast iron). Top with additional cheddar cheese and bake for 8-10 minutes.
04 - Top with chopped bacon and return the skillet to the oven. Cook until the dip is bubbly around the edges, approximately 3-4 more minutes.
05 - Sprinkle diced green onions over the finished dip. Serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - For an added texture and flavor, top the dip with crushed Chili Cheese flavored Frito's after baking, along with the bacon and green onions.
