Hoisin Air Fryer Chicken Thighs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs (approximately 6–8 pieces)
02 - 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons orange juice or pineapple juice
04 - 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
05 - 1 clove garlic, minced

→ Garnish

06 - Sesame seeds, to serve (optional)
07 - Green onion, thinly sliced (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, orange juice or pineapple juice, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic until well blended.
02 - Add chicken thighs to the bowl and toss to thoroughly coat in marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.
03 - Set air fryer to 400°F (204°C) and allow it to preheat while the chicken marinates.
04 - Arrange marinated chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 14–16 minutes, turning halfway through, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is caramelized.
05 - Transfer cooked chicken thighs to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onion, if desired. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model; check doneness a minute or two early until familiar with your appliance.
02 - Chicken breasts may be substituted but require additional cooking time.
03 - Teriyaki sauce can be used instead of hoisin, but will create a thinner, differently flavored glaze.
