Hoisin Beef with Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Beef & Marinade

01 - 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
02 - 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
03 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
04 - 1 tsp sesame oil
05 - 1 tsp cornstarch
06 - 1 garlic clove, minced

→ Sauce

07 - 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
08 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
09 - 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
10 - 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
11 - 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
12 - 2–3 tbsp water

→ Other Ingredients

13 - 200g egg noodles or rice noodles
14 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
15 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
16 - 1 tsp grated ginger
17 - 1 bell pepper, sliced
18 - 1 carrot, julienned
19 - 2–3 green onions, chopped
20 - Sesame seeds (for garnish)
21 - Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the sliced beef with hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and minced garlic in a bowl. Allow it to marinate for at least 10–15 minutes.
02 - Follow the package instructions to cook the noodles. Drain and set aside.
03 - Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), rice vinegar or lime juice, honey or brown sugar, and water in a small bowl.
04 - Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
05 - In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and vegetables. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
06 - Return the beef to the pan, add the sauce, and toss until everything is evenly coated. Add the cooked noodles and mix until heated through.
07 - Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and fresh cilantro. Serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Add chili flakes or sriracha for spice.
02 - Swap in broccoli, snow peas, or mushrooms for preferred vegetables.
03 - Chicken or tofu can be used as a protein alternative.
