Easy Layered No-Mix Dessert (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For Cake

01 - 1/2 cup shelled pecans, chopped (leave out if you want)
02 - 1/2 cup real butter, melted
03 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (real or imitation)
04 - 1/2 cup white sugar
05 - 1 block plain cream cheese, 8 oz, let it soften
06 - 2 big cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
07 - 1 box classic yellow cake mix (around 15.25 oz)

# Instructions:

01 - Give it a little time to cool off and dig in while it’s still warm.
02 - Slide into the oven and let it bake 40–45 minutes. You want bubbly fruit and a golden top.
03 - Pour melted butter over everything. Sprinkle pecans on if you grabbed some.
04 - Dust the dry cake mix all over so it covers the cheese spots.
05 - Stir cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar together till smooth. Spoon it over all that fruity goodness.
06 - Dump both cans of the pie filling in the bottom and spread it out.
07 - Fire up your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prep a 9×13 pan with baking spray or a little butter.

# Notes:

01 - Spoon on some whipped cream or ice cream if you want to really treat yourself
02 - Cherry or blueberry pie filling works great here too
03 - Seriously, just layer and bake—no need for fancy mixers
