# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 small onions
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 teaspoon paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 1 cup buttermilk
09 - 1 cup breadcrumbs
10 - Cooking spray

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the onions and trim off the tops. Carefully cut into each onion to create petals, making sure to leave the root end intact to hold the petals together.
02 - In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. For an added kick, you can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper if desired.
03 - In another bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk until well blended, creating a smooth egg wash for coating.
04 - Dip each onion first into the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring all petals are coated. Next, dip into the egg mixture, followed by a thorough coating with breadcrumbs.
05 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
06 - Lightly spray the coated onions with cooking spray to enhance crispiness. Arrange them in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each onion.
07 - Air fry for 15-20 minutes until the onions are golden brown and delightfully crispy.
08 - Serve the mini blooming onions immediately, paired with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, spicy mayo, or aioli.

# Notes:

01 - For added flavor, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese over the onions before serving.
02 - These mini blooming onions are best consumed immediately after cooking for optimal crispiness.
03 - If storing leftovers, allow them to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
04 - To reheat leftovers, use the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to restore crispiness, or use a conventional oven.
05 - It's not recommended to freeze these onions as they may become soggy upon thawing.
