Quick Simple Sautéed Broccoli Garlic (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 large head broccoli, approximately 450 grams

→ Oils & Fats

02 - 60 millilitres extra virgin olive oil

→ Aromatics

03 - 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced or finely chopped

→ Spices

04 - 0.25 to 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper

→ Liquids

05 - 120 millilitres water

→ Seasonings

06 - Kosher salt, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Remove any tough exterior from the stems and cut broccoli into uniform spears.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and crushed red pepper, gently shaking the pan or stirring to distribute. Sauté until the mixture is aromatic, allowing garlic and pepper to gently fry in the oil for a few seconds.
03 - Add broccoli spears to the skillet along with several generous pinches of kosher salt. Stir to combine.
04 - Pour in the water, cover the skillet, and reduce heat to medium-low. Shake the pan gently or stir to ensure even cooking.
05 - Steam for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the broccoli is vibrant olive green and tender. Adjust seasoning if needed.

01 - For added richness, drizzle a touch of extra virgin olive oil over the broccoli after cooking.
