Spicy Honey BBQ Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 12 oz rotini pasta

→ Meat

02 - 12 oz spicy sausage (Andouille or Italian), sliced

→ Sauce & Seasonings

03 - 1 tbsp olive oil
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 cup smoky or honey-based BBQ sauce
06 - 2 tbsp honey
07 - 1 tsp paprika
08 - 1/2 tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper, to taste
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Finishing Touch

11 - Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and caramelized. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add extra olive oil if necessary. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
04 - Add BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder or cayenne, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
05 - Return the cooked sausage to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss thoroughly to ensure the pasta and sausage are evenly coated with sauce.
06 - Scatter chopped fresh parsley over the pasta and serve hot.
