Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add granulated sugar and stir constantly until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, freshly squeezed lime juice, and cooled simple syrup. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth.

Transfer the strawberry mixture to a large pitcher. Add cold water and stir well. Taste and adjust with additional sugar or lime juice if preferred.

Pour the limeade into serving glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with sliced strawberries and lime wedges if desired.

For single servings, combine 90 ml of strawberry limeade mixture with 80 ml cold water over ice.
