Scary Halloween Puppy Chow (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chocolate Coating

01 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips
02 - 1/4 cup peanut butter
03 - 2 tablespoons butter
04 - 1 cup Dixie Crystals Confectioners Powdered Sugar

→ Mix-ins

05 - 10 ounces peanut butter chips
06 - 1 cup broken pretzel sticks (werewolf bones for fetch)
07 - 1 cup almond slices or slivers (werewolf teeth)
08 - 4 cups cocoa puffs cereal (the kibble base)
09 - 1/2 cup red M&Ms (werewolf eyes)

# Instructions:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Have a large mixing bowl ready for tossing everything together.
02 - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
03 - Pour the cocoa puffs cereal into a large bowl. Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until all pieces are evenly coated.
04 - Add the powdered sugar to the chocolate-coated cereal and toss until every piece is well-coated and no longer sticky. You can do this in the bowl or shake it in a large zip-top bag.
05 - Spread the coated cereal onto the prepared baking sheet to cool. Once cool, return to the bowl and mix in the peanut butter chips, broken pretzel sticks, almond slices, and red M&Ms.
06 - Enjoy immediately or portion into treat bags for neighbors and friends. The mix looks especially festive in clear cellophane bags tied with Halloween-themed ribbon.

# Notes:

01 - Makes a great Halloween party snack or a fun treat to package for neighbors and friends.
02 - For a spookier presentation, serve in a dog bowl!
03 - Try using seasonal colored M&Ms for other holidays - green for Christmas 'Grinch Kibble' or pastel for Easter 'Bunny Kibble.'
