In a large pitcher, combine freshly squeezed lemon juice with granulated sugar. Stir thoroughly until the sugar has fully dissolved.

Add cold water to the sweetened lemon juice and mix to fully incorporate. Add a few drops of pink food colouring and stir until the colour is uniform.

Pour cold heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream on medium-high speed until it begins to thicken. If desired, slowly add powdered sugar and continue beating to stiff peaks.

Add a few drops of pink food colouring to the whipped cream. Gently fold until the colour is evenly incorporated.

Fill glasses three-quarters full with pink lemonade. Add ice cubes as desired. Top each with a generous dollop of pink whipped cream. Garnish with a lemon slice if using and serve immediately.
